Thank you for helping to raise vital funds

During 2023 it was a pleasure for Garsons, Titchfield to form a partnership with a local charity, Sophie’s Legacy, a charity set up by Gareth and Charlotte Fairall in memory of their remarkable daughter; Sophie, who touched so many lives.

With the help from the Garsons team and our valued customers we raised £4234.71.

The vital funds will help towards.

  1. Play specialist seven days a week in hospitals.
  2. Improvements to children's hospital food.
  3. For parents to be fed when staying with their children in hospital.
  4. For GP’s, nurses, and health professionals to be trained in childhood cancer.
  5. To increase the funds in childhood cancer research.

Our staff have shown magnificent support also, Pete pedalled, sprinted, strolled, and swam throughout May. He cycled 400 miles, ran, or walked a total of 50km and finished with a 25km swim, all whilst working full time! We are very proud of Pete’s determination, battling through aches and pains to raise a fantastic amount. In December staff wore festive jumpers in return for a donation of any spare change. We saw an assortment of fun and festive tops; it was great seeing staff get into the festive spirit whilst raising funds.

As a company, Garsons has been delighted to show support. We donated vouchers for raffles putting smiles on the faces of many lucky winners, donated over 30 Sunflower stems grown on Garsons Farm in Esher, used for table centre pieces at Sophie’s Black-Tie Ball, donated 25 small wicker hampers for a Mother’s Day event and donated many boxes of stock. In December we invited staff and customers to write messages to hang on Sophie’s memory tree. Over 600 tags were written and hung on the tree helping to keep memories alive and raising lots of funds too.

All funds raised by Garsons customers and staff have gone directly to Sophie’s Legacy to help with the vital work they do in our community. Thank you to everyone who has contributed.
