OUR GARSONS TEAM
Our wonderful team are highly motivated to work towards our Live, Grow, Thrive movement and do their bit for the environment and local communities. We have a dedicated 'eco-team' at each store who meet every month to discuss ways of improving our sustainability processes, and our staff frequently take part in charity events to raise money for a range of fantastic causes.

CHARITY DONATIONS
CHARITY FUNDRAISING
Ollie, our fresh produce senior sales advisor at our Esher store, gathers and packages surplus food from The Farm Shop. Alastair, our maintenance manager, then delivers these packages to Food with Love, a charity that uses this produce to cook and provide 500 meals a day for the vulnerable.
Our goods-in teams always ensure waste is kept to a minimum, and as a team are responsible for bundling cardboard and plastic using our dedicated waste bailers. These bails of compacted recycling, which are easier to store, transport and sort, are then collected for recycling.
We gift all our remaining excess sale stock to charities to sell in charity shops or donate to fundraisers, ensuring it goes to a good home. Melanie and Rachael, members of our marketing team, to source and create wonderful hampers for many charity fundraisers.
Our staff are always motivated to undertake a wide variety of sporting fundraisers - from wing-walks and abseiling to cycles and marathons. A particular well-done to Pete, from Titchfield, who cycled 400 miles, ran 50km, and swam 25km for Sophie’s Legacy, our 2023 Charity of the Year, raising an incredible £1446!
TRACKING FARM WILDLIFE
WOODEN PALLETS
SEASONAL DISPLAYS
Our farm team are always on the lookout for diverse flora and fauna, with our farmers Rob, Terry and Malcom taking a personal interest, who keep a keen record of wildlife they spot on the farm. It is a good indicator of the farm's health, whilst also ensuring that our local ecosystem is healthy and protected.
Much of our stock is delivered to our goods-in team on reusable pallets, which are collected and reused again for future deliveries.
Our team sort out any broken pallets, and arrange for these to be collected and processed back into biomass energy.
Our talented seasonal teams hand-create many of our displays from materials that are consciously re-used, recycled and up-cycled. This has included using broken baubles from previous Christmas', repurposing fabric to create character figurines and using repurposed wood for theme structures.
